- Speaker #0
Hello. Hi.
- Speaker #1
Welcome to the General Hospital Recap for August 25th through 29th. Amanda and I had a rough weekend and we were together for only about a half hour.
- Speaker #0
Right.
- Speaker #1
But she's still on her way home from it and I'm just exhausted. So yeah, we're gonna make it through this. Apologize. JD actually had a really good idea. He's like, here's your recap. Did you guys watch the show? Did you like it? Okay, bye. that's pretty much where i'm at yep so we do have one poor charles pipeline and i did read it because of the subject and because of who it was from i was like what okay and it's what was from holly and it said jocelyn vaughn and then i saw like i had the preview thing and it said i couldn't disagree more i'm like oh and i was just more tempted so i can say from my personal experience that every time the man I'm pretending to be married to has an attempt on his life once i've dispatched the threat and we've dumped the body first thing we do is hook up the black light people immediately give up on trying to figure out what went on there it's forensic files 101 but seriously could not stop laughing when you brought up the black light oh gross so gross so gross but so true very true They're not in the United States. So perhaps, I mean, I feel like it's worldwide.
- Speaker #0
I would think so.
- Speaker #1
The flashlight would be used, but
- Speaker #0
I guess you never know.
- Speaker #1
This upcoming 411 is Lucky Part 47, Lucky and Liz Part 38. I think we're going to be able to finish 2011. So we just left off where Jake just died. Lucky just found out that Luke was the one driving the car. but Liz has been she got Aiden's paternity test done again. So we still have to deal with that. And then he leaves and comes back in 2015 and then leaves and comes back in 2024. And then we'll be all up to date.
- Speaker #0
Just waiting for him to come back again.
- Speaker #1
Exactly. Wouldn't that be great if like we finished this and then he just happens to come back.
- Speaker #0
No, because we have to do something else.
- Speaker #1
Well, yeah, but if he just comes back, then he won't have enough. He won't be doing anything. for a long time for us to be able to okay we can update in a few years okay i guess we can go for yeah i think that if he had stayed i don't think we would have done from august of last year until right now because he he wasn't finished yet i agree you're right so yeah that's where that will be so for hulu headlines on monday jason makes a request maxi's loved ones get difficult news. Rick gets a shock. Martin briefs Laura. Alexis loses her cool. On Tuesday, Eva issues a warning. Lucy confides in Sidwell. Brennan is conflicted. Michael meets with Molly. Cody opens up to Dante. On Wednesday, Portia doesn't like what she sees. Willow makes an offer. Gio and Marco find a common ground. Molly confronts Christina. Brooklyn is encouraged. On Thursday, Sunny offers reassurance. Trina makes a discovery. Gio and Dante connect. Portia crosses a line. and Drew puts the screws to Michael. On Friday, Britt becomes suspicious. Stella shares her fears. Wow. Stella shares her fears. Trina asks Kai for help. Elizabeth is taken aback, and Carly receives an offer. Where do you want to start?
- Speaker #0
I wait. The Gio is reconnecting with Brooklyn and Dante. I like the way that they did that. It was like a whole separate piece of the story, so I'm not intertwined with anything else. But it was his mother's birthday, and you see him go into the chapel, and Marco's there, and they kind of bond for a minute over the fact that they both lost their mothers, and Gio sticks up for Sonny. And then he's sitting there. getting ready to light a candle and Brooklyn comes in and says that she always lit a candle in memory of his mom. And then she just says, you know, how grateful she is that all she really wanted when she put her baby up for adoption was to know that he was going to a family where someone was really going to love him. And that although she didn't know it at the time, she got to see that love play out and that no one could ever question that he was truly loved and that his mother was amazing. And then she went to... Dante and was like hey I can't really connect with him on the same level as you could because he knows that obviously I knew that I was giving him up for adoption and you didn't so why don't you go see him and so Dante goes and tells this like amazing story of the connection that he saw between Gio and his adoptive mom whenever he was like super little and you know goes on to say even though I didn't know that you were my son I'm glad that that's what you grew up with And then Gio asks him, what would you have done if you knew? And I liked that Dante said, I would hope that I would have been the dad that you deserved. He did not presume that teenage him would have done the right thing. He being an adult, he hopes that he would have. And so it's just nice to start to see that healing. Because like we've said the past couple of times, like I know Gio is traumatized. I get it. But at the same time, he has to get out of this. Like he can't just be mad for the rest of his life. So. It's nice to see that there's a little bit of healing going on and that it all centered around his mom that all three of them loved and cared about.
- Speaker #1
Right. I mean, he can be mad the rest of his life.
- Speaker #0
He can. But for himself,
- Speaker #1
he needs to figure out a way to listen. These people are my family and they're going to be here no matter what. I'm going to have to figure out how to work with them. But the one thing that I liked the most out of all of it was they both kept saying your mom. Right. Right. They did it. And I mean, And it wasn't anything Brooklyn and Dante always did call her Camilla. So it wasn't like them referring to her as Camilla was disrespectful, but both of them refer to when you were with your mom. Right. You know, it wasn't when you were with
- Speaker #0
Camilla. Right. Yeah.
- Speaker #1
It's no, because that's, that's his mom. Right. You know?
- Speaker #0
Yeah. Yeah. I was very happy with it.
- Speaker #1
We didn't know that he, she was technically not biologically. So, and neither did anyone else except for Lois and Gloria. Oh, and I think, didn't Brooklyn tell him that, too, that she wanted to tell him on her deathbed, and Gloria and Lois told him?
- Speaker #0
I can't remember if she told him that that was exactly how it went down, but she brought up the fact that, you know, it wasn't just Camilla's secret to tell, that there was other people involved, and that's probably why she got it.
- Speaker #1
Okay, that might be what I'm remembering, because I'm like, I remember that that got brought up to some degree, so. but I did I liked it I thought that was good I think that it's kind of like a nice little olive branch because Gio didn't immediately I feel like he's had very like reasonable reactions to things you know yeah I mean I've slammed doors I if I had a violin I probably would have smashed it too you know right oh and Dante took this time to apologize and he said I want you to know that
- Speaker #0
I'm not apologizing just because I found out that you're my son I wanted to apologize guys. before the nurse's ball like after you did your performance but i didn't want to take away from that um but that i am sorry for the way that i acted whenever everything went down with rocco yep yep so i did like that i
- Speaker #1
guess the rest of the week i just didn't care for it yeah i was gonna say i'm like we could just stick with the horrible things being said to children when drew seriously told Rocco he's nothing. I don't know how Carly did not.
- Speaker #0
lose her mom she needed to have a paperweight in her hand like ava because that was freaking ridiculous i oh i couldn't no he's he is just awful like i'm so ready for him someone needs to kill him i'm sorry seriously
- Speaker #1
we alluded to it this week because carly said that she would kill him with his her bare hands or kill her kill him by herself curtis said that after because they all figured out the Aunt Stella thing. Yes. I think... Alexis did too. Didn't the three of them all say that they would kill him because he had a restraining order served against Alexis and Molly and then there was going to be one. against Christina and then there was going to be one against Rocco and Danny and then we find out this is kind of well this is when Drew came in when Danny and Rocco were talking to Carly about it because Carly was like oh I bet you're glad your dad's coming home and he's like no because Drew had Rocco served and he can't serve me because my dad's not here because I'm a minor right so that's gonna be a new a fun whodunit like everyone's
- Speaker #0
going to be like, did you do it? Because I want to thank you. And then they're going to be like, no, I didn't do it. And then they're going to turn to the next person and be like, well, did you do it? Because I want to thank you. And they're going to be like, no, really, it wasn't me, I swear.
- Speaker #1
And, you know, it's going to be a stranger. Right. And we're going to get a new character out of it.
- Speaker #0
Yep. But I'm ready for it. He's so awful. And hearing Willow talk about him, like I do, I understand her mindset, because I feel like I've met in similar situation but when she's like i didn't know the evil i was dealing with before but now i do so i'm just gonna keep going along with it and get back together with him and you know basically sell my soul to have my kids be happy and
- Speaker #1
liz is just like girl what is wrong with you she's like he has told you this before and he is why you do not have your kids yeah like he does not deliver on his promises you've got to get out of this what if it's gonna be willow it's gonna be
- Speaker #0
willow that kills him oh that would be great because if she doesn't get the kids back she'll kill him i see i was hoping that chase showing up and saying that he had talked to the judge which was completely inappropriate but they had talked to the judge at bobby's that we were going to make him the hero not that i want them to get re-involved again or anything like that but just the fact that we just saw liz say like willow you're enough by yourself you don't need drew and all of his influences if we can also have chase come in right behind that and be like i talked to the judge and told her all these wonderful things about you then maybe she can get it through her head that drew is just awful and to stay away from him because yeah like he threatened everyone this week i like Like, I can't think of anyone.
- Speaker #1
No, and I didn't like Chase talking to her. simply because they don't have a relationship. So it wasn't even a judge that he could have been like, okay, can I talk to you hypothetically and find out hypothetically, like he had to trust that she was going to talk in hypotheticals. And, um, I mean, he knew he buttered her up by saying, you know, you're a very fair judge, whatever. Well, now she's dead because she made a phone call saying, I need to know that like, you can still protect me and everything. And I guess we're to assume that that's to sit well. Right. And now she's,
- Speaker #0
in the harbor and the boys found her yeah i wonder how they're gonna play that out though because if drew still goes to the authorities and says hey this woman got killed like the story he's gonna spin is this woman got paid off by sunny and she found in michael's favor when i said that i was gonna let the cat out of the bag then suddenly she ends up dead head obviously this was all michael slash sunny's doing so the kids shouldn't be with him like how that all's gonna gonna go because it's actually sidwell that was behind everything but how do you prove that like there should be a way to trace the money but i don't know obviously sidwell did it in a way to make it look like it came from sunny and
- Speaker #1
marco did what did marco do that sidwell was not happy about oh because he was the one that told drew so we saw Alexis and Drew talking.
- Speaker #0
That's when Alexis got all angry with Drew threatened him and then got up and stormed off and then Marco went over to Drew and was like I have the solution to your problem actually the way that Michael got custody is because Sonny paid him off and then he went back to Sidwell and was like yeah dad I used you know the the leverage that we had whether you like it or not because you were not using it yeah because I remember when I was watching that I kept thinking
- Speaker #1
that Marco's becoming like Anakin Skywalker, because that's how he became Darth Vader.
- Speaker #0
Really? That's what you were thinking?
- Speaker #1
So it was, actually. I was like, Marco's channeling his inner Anakin because he is so... Spoiler alert for anyone who has not watched, you know, Star Wars in the past like 20 years or ever knew the story. Luke and Laura's mom, because, you know, Darth Vader's their dad, she died during childbirth. And he blamed himself so much and he blamed the Jedis that he started to go after them.
- Speaker #0
You said Luke and Laura's mom.
- Speaker #1
Not Luke and Laura. Luke and Laura were in Star Wars, huh? Hidden gem. Yes. No. So. That's the quick one sentence of he thought that he was doing the right thing, you know, to get his vengeance. And he wound up making a big old mess out of everything. All right.
- Speaker #0
I'm going to go back and watch some Star Wars, look for Luke and Laura.
- Speaker #1
There you go. It's like a little hidden cameo, you know?
- Speaker #0
Ryan's in the car. He just made this face like, what?
- Speaker #1
So he didn't even hear me say all that.
- Speaker #0
oh my gosh they're both double l's they are they are um i'm tired i know you are i know you are i'm sorry when i watch gg i don't think of star wars because i don't know it that well but thank you for the comparison you're welcome so yeah that's what marco that's what marco did and then oh we also learned from Sidwell that This week that he was snuggling up with Lucy and had Maxie poisoned because he wanted Maxie out of the way so that he could offer to save the company from going under. And he just didn't care that Maxie was the one that was getting injured or whatever. So when Lucy finds that out, man, she's going to flip out because she actually does care about Maxie.
- Speaker #1
uh just a bit and i don't think he really understood that i think we talked about that last week that he is really not understanding the relationship that she has with those women and it's she's very very business focused and everything and i mean she's definitely the first one to throw someone under the bus but she would never ever right especially not now no she wouldn't cause harm to someone and yeah she's not going to be happy at all well because He asked...
- Speaker #0
her to come stay yeah he offered he was like you could sleep in my house there's plenty of guest rooms and she was like yeah not tonight i need to go back to the hospital and comfort maxi's family because she's being transferred to the other hospital and i think that's when he started to piece it together that oh shoot yeah and then later we see him i think it was after that then we see him like say to whoever he's on the phone with like yeah i'm glad i'm poisoned maxi now we're gonna get the company um but because of maxi we also got to see brooklyn and lulu coming together a little bit more and acting like adults that continued on this week so that was nice and the kids got to say goodbye before she got sent to the other hospital oh that was something we didn't mention last week was that spinelli said when she gets out of that coma that he's gonna marry her yes
- Speaker #1
that was very sweet
- Speaker #0
Yeah, I look forward to that wedding. That's going to be cute.
- Speaker #1
I don't know if they'll actually do a wedding. She loves planning them and everything, but I just see them going on a beach somewhere with the kids.
- Speaker #0
Maybe, but this time it'll actually end up in a marriage. Yes,
- Speaker #1
yes.
- Speaker #0
And those vows will be cute where she references the past and like what led them back together. That'll be sweet.
- Speaker #1
And I like how everyone's obviously stepping up, but like they're also letting them, you know, it's not. Yes. Spinelli is immediately accepting of, okay, you know, Felicia and Mac are here. This is how this is going to be. They're going to help with everything. And, oh, they gave James or James gave Maxie his dad's badge because she gave it to him when he was in the hospital.
- Speaker #0
Right. That was sweet.
- Speaker #1
That was so sweet.
- Speaker #0
Yeah. So I'm glad, like, I know that Kirsten Storms had already. announced that she was going to be off for a while so i'm glad yes but they at least gave like a good storyline like all this makes sense even though it's a little crazy to put the face cream on and whatever it all makes sense how it's linking together and affecting the other storylines so whenever she does come back she can wake up from that coma and it'll still fall in line with the storyline oh we saw anna all drunk this week Telling Brandon about how stupid he was again for hiring Joss.
- Speaker #1
And she was drunk over Maxie.
- Speaker #0
Yeah.
- Speaker #1
I mean, that's not, I mean, I shouldn't be like, aw, Anna's drunk because of Maxie, but Anna was getting drunk because.
- Speaker #0
Right. It like affected her.
- Speaker #1
Yes. I don't even know where to go from there though.
- Speaker #0
I think it just leads into Joss and Vaughn because, so Joss has told the bad guys that. She wouldn't talk until she saw that Vaughn was okay. So they brought Vaughn into the room, and they were like, okay, now talk. And he... was like no i'm not saying anything and so then they threatened him some more and he like spit in the one guy's face and then they brought some other guy in with i couldn't tell if that was like an electrocution kind of thing like i don't know what that thing did that that guy brought in i
- Speaker #1
couldn't tell if it was like i thought it might have been like a scalpel maybe but exactly like was it was it a dremel was it what was it i don't know either way i was not gonna want to watch that
- Speaker #0
Right, exactly. And so she was like, no, please don't stop. I'll tell you whatever you want to know. And they were like, okay, talk. So she told them that all the information, she didn't even have all the information, but all the information was in a black box in Brennan's office. And they were like, yeah, we already know that. We need to know what the code was. So, oh, I did see online. This is cute. I did see online that the code is the actor who plays Brennan's birthday. Oh,
- Speaker #1
that's fun.
- Speaker #0
Yeah. So that was like an Easter egg that they threw in there. I thought that was cute.
- Speaker #1
I like stuff like that.
- Speaker #0
Yes. I would have never even thought to research it, but it was on one of the other soap pages that they were like, hey, did you guys realize? And I was like, no, but thanks. That's adorable.
- Speaker #1
Well, somebody's a fan of his.
- Speaker #0
Right. Right. That they knew his birthday. Yep. So that was cute. But I guess they were relaying the message back to... fredden's um assistant and then the assistant went to see sidwell and was demanding information and he kind of put her in her place and was like look i don't know who you think you are but i don't report to you so whoever it is that i do report to you can have them contact me but i'm not giving you information and you better lose your attitude yep so still no more extra clues of who they're all reporting to though no but colette's a bad guy yes yes you
- Speaker #1
But she was talking, hold it, she was talking to Pascal. Oh, and that's concierge Jude's name is Pascal.
- Speaker #0
Yes, yes. I'm not going to remember that, but yes.
- Speaker #1
But, because I'm not convinced that it's all Dalton.
- Speaker #0
Yeah, I don't think it's all Dalton either. There has to be an extra person that we're missing.
- Speaker #1
Faison.
- Speaker #0
I mean, that would be awesome, but I don't know that we're getting that. So, they did talk about him again today, or again this week, because... That was part of Brennan and Anna's conversation because she was talking about how much she regrets being an agent. And he was like, you don't regret being an agent. You regret being a double agent. So if you wouldn't have been doing stuff for Faison, you wouldn't have that regret. Hopefully Joss will make better decisions.
- Speaker #1
See, and I'm not liking that they're having her regret her time as an agent because she wouldn't have her life. She wouldn't have had Robert. She wouldn't have had. Oh, and we did. we didn't talk about that we talked about the fact that uh we when we met anna we knew that she was his ex-wife but we never saw their relationship while they were agents and how much it messed them up if it messed them up right but you know i i'm finding it really hard to believe that she seriously regrets her life that much yeah
- Speaker #0
i agree i mean sometimes you feel sorry for yourself and say you say that you regret things that if you reflected on them when you aren't down and depressed you would be a little more honest about it so i feel like that's where she was since she was drinking but she keeps saying it because that's where she's like you know i didn't have a choice jocelyn needs a choice so that way she doesn't make the same mistakes i made and all this yeah she threatened to tell carly so that carly would uh call jocelyn back if brennan didn't call off the mission and he was like you're not gonna do that because we all know that'll put Jocelyn at more of a risk than sure it is.
- Speaker #1
And then Joc actually... I can't figure out if, oh wait, Vaughn said something about, they had a code. It sounded like they were talking in code. When he was mad at her, he said, he said something and she repeated it back to him. What was it? I can't remember, but it sounds, I picked up, I took it as they were talking to each other in code where he is basically telling her, I'm not really mad at you. I have to obviously pretend to be mad at you right now, but we're going to get through it because whatever.
- Speaker #0
maybe that code's like a self-destruct code yeah well that'd be good well well i mean she kind of just did that she gave everything up yeah that's what i'm saying but maybe there was like a code that would have opened it and exposed all the information and then there was another code if it was the bad guy and she gave the bad guy code so the black box will explode but they didn't he didn't say that phrase to her until after they left maybe she just knew it because she was smart and he was like
- Speaker #1
reinforcing good job Jax you did the right code or she didn't know that there was a backup oh she didn't know that there was you know what if the code that they gave her was Not a good one. But then I feel like that's putting her at risk because you're giving her a false code.
- Speaker #0
Yeah, but if she's giving out the code, she's already been compromised. So they don't really care.
- Speaker #1
Yeah, true.
- Speaker #0
I don't know. I didn't actually think about that until we started talking about it. Maybe it was a bad code. I don't know. It's like,
- Speaker #1
you know, when parents talk to each other and you're like, yes, you know, the door was out of ice cream.
- Speaker #0
Right.
- Speaker #1
You know, we will have some tonight, but there's not enough for the kids.
- Speaker #0
sorry kids we do that yep um but then they left them alone and then we see break gets a phone call from the guy saying like you haven't been here all day you're supposed to be down here working and she's like i'm coming i was sleeping i was hanging out i was tired whatever and he's like yeah you're not working like you're supposed to and so she went down and was suspecting that something was going on And so she started trying to talk to Pascal, and he was like, I'm just going to stand here and ignore you because the head guy is, like, here. And then he left, and so she, like, looped back around and was like, hey, I need you to move this server in my office because it's making an annoying noise, and you're just so big and strong and whatever. And so finally he said, sure, he would go and help her. He went to the office. She used her key. Which I don't know why they let her key open that door. Because if they were halfway smart, it would have been like she tried it and then it would have made like that noise. Like, no, sorry, you do not have access. But instead, she opened the door and she saw that it was Joss and Vaughn. And Joss is like, oh, my God, Brit, help me. And she turned around and walked out. So I'm assuming she's going to find Jason. But I don't know how she's going to do that discreetly.
- Speaker #1
No. So... Jason did not have margaritas with her, right?
- Speaker #0
I don't think so. That was very confusing. I thought maybe I missed something. Because, yeah, like, I remember her leaving. First of all, it didn't look like it made any sense because she left, but then she still, like, lingered outside the door. But then he didn't answer the door again. And then it showed her the next morning with, like, margaritas all over the place and stuff knocked over. And so you thought for a second, maybe... They ended up hooking up. And then you see her in the bed by herself taking her eye mask off. And you're like, oh, okay, no, she's by herself. So I guess we're supposed to assume she went back to her room upset that she couldn't be with Jason. So she drank a bunch of margaritas by herself and fell asleep and then took the day to drink it off or sleep it off.
- Speaker #1
Maybe. I guess that could be. Yeah, like I thought that there was more than one glass. So maybe she anticipated that he would, that he didn't. But I don't know.
- Speaker #0
maybe she didn't keep checking that burner phone for calls or texts and she didn't get it so maybe she had two glasses hoping he was going to use the burner phone to invite himself to her room oh i think she had way more than two glasses she had that whole picture no i mean two glasses set out like it was gonna be okay yeah no she definitely drank more than two glasses and i I've never put on my eye mask and passed out in my clothes on top of my bed.
- Speaker #1
Like if, If I remember to put my eye mask on, I have done my nighttime ritual and I do have eye masks.
- Speaker #0
Yeah.
- Speaker #1
But I don't know. I guess maybe drunk Brit was like, you know what? Your hangover is going to be bad. I'm going to protect you right now.
- Speaker #0
The smart hangover moon. I'm never that smart.
- Speaker #1
Right.
- Speaker #0
The sun comes in in the morning and I'm like, oh, my God.
- Speaker #1
Yeah.
- Speaker #0
Why didn't someone do something about this?
- Speaker #1
Dear drunk Brit, remember your eye mask. right she has like a post-it note next to her bed love future you um i don't think that connects to anything else it doesn't i was just skimming through real quick oh my god that doesn't really take us anywhere we could just go to uh i was gonna say stella or yeah but christina you can do christina so christina's at alexis's talking to rick about how Bye. I guess just piecing together the whole circle of blackmail and how he can't really do anything against her because it would also hurt Molly and all this stuff and then Ava shows up oh because oh what was he saying because he was calling her basically like a bad person and he was saying like a whole lot of horrible stuff and we saw there was a knife or a letter opener and we were to be under the impression that she was going to stab him and then Ava shows up And they're talking about, they're fighting about something. Ava and Rick are fighting about something. And then Ava gets mad at Rick and hits him over the head with a paperweight. Right. And then Alexis comes home and is like, what the heck? Why? Why is this happening?
- Speaker #0
Yeah, they took a long time to decide what they were doing with Rick. I feel like I would be a little more panicked not knowing if he's not dead. When is he going to wake up? Let's move quickly. And they're just kind of him hauling around and discussing it at length. I'm like, hello, can you hurry up? Make a decision.
- Speaker #1
So he's in Alexis's basement.
- Speaker #0
Right.

A basement that Molly probably goes to. frequently ish to do her laundry and i also want to know maybe this is kind of a personal question but does everyone own a ball gag oh my gosh that was my first note was are we just ignoring who had this on them and then alexis did address it but isn't it crazy ava had this in her car i think that's just an ava thing
- Speaker #0
ava and not just the ball but at first i thought that the thing that he was laying on was like a lawn chair like they had already put their summer lawn chairs in the basement and that's what he was laying on that thing did not have any wheels it was just like a perfect one person bed with some rails to tape people to and then you have a ball gag oh see i thought it was like a folding table that maybe they put a cushion on top of i don't think so because i have like side rails that they that they taped into yeah and it's not like Alexis has been a caregiver to anyone that was
- Speaker #1
right so the whole thing was just weird i mean i know they don't care about that kind of detail but it was just weird no but you got to make it believable to some degree oh didn't they reference that he did that to carly though yes yeah that was great that was great um also
- Speaker #0
alexis's basement is ridiculously clean and organized she's lived in that house for several years no one's basement should be that perfect The little bit that she had was nice and stacked up against the wall. And that was it. The floor was all clean. Like, where are your multiple laundry baskets that never made it upstairs? Come on.
- Speaker #1
She's also an empty nester, though.
- Speaker #0
Am I going to be that organized? I'm an empty nester. Do I have something to look forward to? Because I don't ever see that happening.
- Speaker #1
But I think Alexa's already had that skill before.
- Speaker #0
Maybe. Okay.
- Speaker #1
Mine used to be that way.
- Speaker #0
Oh, mine is never, ever,
- Speaker #1
ever. When I had...
- Speaker #0
when I had my townhouse with the kids and my boxes were all in order and just rotated them when we lived in our first townhouse it had a um garage underneath of it and we never used the garage because we had all these extra boxes in the garage much like my house now oh
- Speaker #1
well the garage is kind of organized but it's also because the yard card business is in there though yeah no yours sometimes that gets like a little bit yeah a little bit crazy
- Speaker #0
Understood. But yeah, it was just funny that she had that stuff there or whatever. But yeah, Alexis goes downstairs and Rick wakes up and he's like, help me, help me. And she pulls the ball gag out of his mouth and is like, how did you end up here? And he's like, I don't know. I was doing this. And then Christina and Ava and all of a sudden it was dark. And she was like, oh, yeah, you think I'm going to help you? No, actually, Ava made me a better deal than what you're trying to give me. And so... You're just going to live here for the next month until those bonds mature. And then we're going to give back all that money to the Casadena State. And Ava is going to give me the evidence against Christina. And you're not going to do anything about it because we all have evidence on each other.
- Speaker #1
So that's where they really got in depth with the because he and Christina did argue about what they have on each other. But no, it definitely got really played out after. he woke up and talked with Alexis.
- Speaker #0
Yeah. It was just great that you like the smug look that she got when she was like, Oh, you think I'm going to help you? No, no, no. Yeah.
- Speaker #1
But she's going to wind up losing her license again.
- Speaker #0
She is, but I don't, I'm sorry with her daughters, the way that they are, the things that they do, she's destined to just not be an attorney. I'm sorry.
- Speaker #1
Well, then Molly came in and told Christina that she knows all about what she did to her father. because Cody told her everything. Oh, he was so sincere. He's like, I did this because I know that you don't like Ava. And Christina paid me. And Ava's like, wait, what?
- Speaker #0
Yeah.
- Speaker #1
She's like, I do not need someone to be paid to be with me.
- Speaker #0
Yeah. Yep. That was awesome. And I feel bad because I feel like I don't think anyone's ever going to put me in that situation. But I feel like I would feel the same way as Molly is. She's like, I don't even know how to feel like you did this for me. That's a compliment, but you were hooking up with somebody else for me. That's not a compliment. And then my sister hired you like what it's going on here.
- Speaker #1
Right.
- Speaker #0
Well,
- Speaker #1
and Michael kind of said the same thing. He is like, so this is really, really messed up, but I do think Cody is not lying about that. I think that he did it thinking he was helping you. right and he's like he's kind of still a good guy like this is messed up but he's still kind of a good guy because honestly he could have just been lying from the start yeah and he didn't so right that has to count for something yeah and hearing cody talk um to dante about
- Speaker #0
yes you and him and molly were just getting to know each other i liked dante he was like it sounds like you really were getting to know each other like you need To talk to her. You need to go to her. You need to figure this out.
- Speaker #1
Yeah. I liked it.
- Speaker #0
Yeah, I'm excited for that story. They're going to be cute.
- Speaker #1
I think they did not ruin it.
- Speaker #0
Yeah.
- Speaker #1
There's going to be some massive trust issues.
- Speaker #0
Absolutely. But it's going to be cute.
- Speaker #1
It will be.
- Speaker #0
And then, yeah, I guess we're on to Stella. The guys came to arrest her. And Jordan was calling in every favor that she could. And doing everything that she can. And I really do think that Jordan was doing everything that she could. Because she cares about Stella. Because Stella was part of her family. I'm not saying that she does or doesn't have feelings for Curtis. Like that's a separate issue. But I think everything she was doing for Stella was for Stella. And Portia's just over at the nurse's station. Freaking out to Isaiah about how it doesn't matter what she does. Because it's all about Portia. Or it's all about.
- Speaker #1
jordan and i'm like what is wrong with you she's trying to help out your family right with a legal matter and this is what she can do and you've helped her out all the ways you can for health reasons right right yeah i hated it because i mean just because it's porsche complaining about jordan again but wouldn't you be so thankful right exactly I could understand being like, seriously, why can't I get Stella that kind of a help? You know, I'm the chief. I should be able to. Oh, because they did talk about something. And they're like, sorry, this is above your pay grade. Like, it doesn't matter who you know. We get our orders from somebody else. And that's what Jordan was able to. And I can understand being a little bent out of shape that, man, that really stinks. I wasn't able to be the one that helps her. But how about we just be happy that Stella's getting help?
- Speaker #0
Right, exactly. And then Isaiah was just as ridiculous because he flips out on Jordan and is like, I guess I should have known that our relationship couldn't go anywhere because really you're hung up on Curtis. And that's what held our relationship back. I cared about you more than I cared about any woman in such a long time. Sam knew that a submarine was waiting for him as he entered the meeting. The Argonaut, a moldy vessel that had taken him to the brink of Atlantis, would be there. As Sam sought an exit, the crew were frozen in escape. As Sam watched the clock, the captain ignored squid warnings silently. And so at lunch, Sam would take out his book and end their wait.
- Speaker #1
A squid? Where? The other colonel from his bathtub.
- Speaker #0
Amazon. Bring a book to life.
- Speaker #1
People used to stand in line for phone releases. Which begs the question, did people change? Or did phones not? Ask more of your phone. Google Pixel 10.
- Speaker #2
And she's just standing there like, why is that relevant? We had a breakup conversation. We mutually decided that it was best for us to go our separate ways. And then you're bringing up this other stuff that doesn't even matter. And then he goes and hooks up with Portia, which I like fast forwarded through their sex scene because I didn't want to see it. But how are you going to tell Jordan you cared about her? Right. How are you going to tell Jordan that you cared about her so much when five seconds later you're ripping off Portia's clothes? Right. obviously not like and then you obviously didn't care and how are you right and how are you gonna um jordan feel bad like she's coming and being curtis's marriage whenever you're sick to be real close i don't know i'm over it let's just move on yeah fire porsche right and he's like do you have any regrets and she's like we just can't tell anyone that this happened here because I'm your boss.
- Speaker #3
No one asked for this.
- Speaker #2
Right.
- Speaker #3
I'm sorry if you did.
- Speaker #2
No one wants this. Just not.
- Speaker #3
And then poor Trina comes in and right after. Oh, right.
- Speaker #2
And I felt like poor Trina was horrible all this time. I'm protecting my baby. I'm protecting my baby. I'm protecting my baby. And then she's like, well, actually, this all started because of you. And her comment is like, this is my fault. And poor Trina's like, no, I mean, not really. but
- Speaker #3
The way she said it definitely sounded like if you didn't get yourself into trouble, I wouldn't have had to do this.
- Speaker #2
Right. And then she explains all the stuff. And I was waiting for Trina to flip out more, though, and she didn't.
- Speaker #3
She probably just doesn't even know how to process what she just heard, though, because she's been asking them for how many weeks now. You guys seem a little weird. What's going on? Nothing, honey. Nothing, honey. And now Portia drops the bombshell. True. Oh, and the reason that they... uh hooked up is because curtis and portia separated and she said that if he left the hospital her office that it was over and all that and then isaiah came in and was like i saw curtis in the hallway is everything okay right i
- Speaker #2
need to get my ring off she said a ring not her clothes yes no exactly i need help with this oh i think to get your wedding ring off you have to take all her clothes off first.
- Speaker #3
Right. And meanwhile, he was holding her right. It's not like he was going for something else. He was going to help Stella.
- Speaker #2
Yeah, but he did get real honest with her. I did like that. He did get real honest because he just kept talking about how this was her fault. And she was like, so you really just going to blame me forever? And he was like, oh, my gosh, under the surface, I have been blaming you for everything for quite some time because you keep creating these issues that are messing up our family.
- Speaker #3
Well, he said your go to is to lie first. He's like, you lie about everything. And he brought up like you initially lied to me about being married. You lied to me about your daughter or our daughter. You lied to me about this. You lied to me about everything. So no, don't trust you so much.
- Speaker #2
Right.
- Speaker #3
What else? Oh, Martin and Laura were having cocktails or something when Alexis and Drew were talking. and Martin told her about how drew fired him because he wouldn't side with him and she's like oh that's great he's like i'm glad to hear that because i'm gonna be on your couch a little bit more yes but then what did they not see did alexis hit drew no that was where she threatened to yeah so laura's just like i don't know i didn't see or hear anything i don't know what they're talking about yep and
- Speaker #2
what else oh kai finally heard yes talking um
- Speaker #3
Curtis. Oh,
- Speaker #2
what's Curtis? Okay, yeah. Yeah, because he was making a phone call, and as he was in the middle of the phone call, Curtis came in and hit the button to hang up, and then threatened him and was like, you better stay away from my family. And that's whenever, obviously, he didn't know he was being listened to, but Drew just went off then and was like, this was the fastest way to get to you. After everything that you did, you shouldn't have told Nina about, or shouldn't have told Willow about me and Nina. Yeah. And so how's it feel to have your family messed with? And he said, this was supposed to be between you and me. Why are you bringing Stella into it? And he was like, oh, this is the easiest way.
- Speaker #3
Yep. And then Kai went to Trina and said that he messed up so bad. You know, he didn't believe her. Thank goodness. I feel so bad that all this stuff had to happen to Stella for him to realize it. But I'm kind of glad that that's because he knows how much she helped him. Right. But I don't know. I I don't want Trina and Kai to get back together because suddenly he's just changed his mind over this.
- Speaker #2
Yeah, I think they definitely need to show them rebuilding trust. And he said he'd do anything to make it up to her. So I think he's going to end up digging into some emails or paperwork or something and be able to help reverse a lot of this stuff.
- Speaker #3
Well, he already made a phone call confirming that Congressman Kaine was getting the results that he was looking for, you know. and you know He repeated back to the guy, okay, so you are doing exactly what he said. And it was all this bad stuff, you know, digging into Stella's whatever. And that's when he had the realization. So he's already started. I mean, and he has kind of a really easy access to it. Right. And Drew is delirious and thinks that he is just like bowing down at his feet. So.
- Speaker #2
Right.
- Speaker #3
Why not?
- Speaker #2
Yeah. I can't wait for that. that's going to be a good shock to Drew to see all the stuff that he thinks is going to go perfectly and then trina and kai are going to have sabotaged it yes couldn't happen to a nicer person no what else that really might have been it oh i can't think of anything else that happened no we talked about martin talked to tracy when did martin talk to tracy oh about the stella stuff yeah because he went and um yeah oh that's what i'm I meant to say that I was thinking in my head and I couldn't figure out who I was thinking of. Are they going to try to put Martin and Tracy together? Cause that was like on the line of flirtatious there this week.
- Speaker #3
I don't know.
- Speaker #2
Cause he said,
- Speaker #3
I feel like Tracy's done with that part of her life.
- Speaker #2
I don't know. I mean, I know she really cared about Gregory and so that would be okay. But just something about their conversation this week, the way he was like, well, it's all your fault. And she was like, how do you figure it's all my fault? And he was like, well, if you wouldn't have got my ex-wives on me, if you wouldn't have had me, you know, arrested or whatever, then my insurance wouldn't have left. And, oh, you were the one that pushed me at the whole news conference thing. And so you're the reason I do it. needed medical attention and it had lapsed because of everything else and so yeah it's all your fault and she was like no it's not and they kind of just you know i don't know it's kind of more playful than they normally are i mean i guess that would be nice to see her flirty with someone but also he
- Speaker #3
would fall into the stereotypes that she has fallen to for in the past like i feel like he's he's not larry but she'll think that he's only after me for my money
- Speaker #2
Yeah, but I think she's smarter now. So even if she dated somebody that was only after her money, she wouldn't be giving up her money. So it wouldn't matter.
- Speaker #3
Oh, and then I forget what it was that she said. And he's like, this is not yours. This is Monica's.
- Speaker #2
Oh, yeah. She said, get out of my house. That's what she said.
- Speaker #3
Yes.
- Speaker #2
He was like, it's not your house. Mine. Or it's Monica's.
- Speaker #3
Okay. And a quick, I had another random epiphany at some random point this week that that just reminded me with the whole. how I had my mental breakdown over Tristan Rogers. Those people gave us over 40 years of their lives.
- Speaker #2
Yeah.
- Speaker #3
You know, it's not just a character on a show. No. It is, but it's not.
- Speaker #2
And it's not just us, because whatever the other show is that he had been on, this past week was his last scenes on that show, and they had the same type of reaction as we did.
- Speaker #3
Okay.
- Speaker #2
I mean, not that I would be ashamed if it was just us because it was 100% authentic and real, but it's not just us that was so upset by his death and that he won't be part of the soap world moving forward because he'll be the one.
- Speaker #3
Yeah, I just had that thought because I'm like, you know, most people don't stay in their jobs for that long. Most people don't stay in their jobs for 20 years anymore. And they gave us almost half a century. yeah and so well too like the characters were just so good right so that was my little i'm not completely ridiculous for being so upset because i'm more upset for probably also like their families yeah you know because they deserve to have their loved ones insanely cherished you know and not just replaced and forgotten right so okay that was my little mini reality check about fake characters.
- Speaker #2
Got it.
- Speaker #3
Yep.
- Speaker #2
Reality check.
- Speaker #3
So how's your reality check?
- Speaker #2
It was a full, full weekend. Friday. So I think I've talked about it before. My, the company that my brother works for has offices throughout Pittsburgh and throughout Pennsylvania and Ohio. And so they throw a nice big company picnic at Cedar point and the tickets are ridiculously reasonable and they're allowed to get a ridiculous amount of tickets for a friend. friends and family and um this is the third year i think that we've gone and i think so yeah um friday so the the actual event is on saturday so friday um matt's girlfriend julie was off and i was off so we had discussed driving up early together because there is a there's two different crazy bins. close to that and crazy bins is like a overstock store of mostly target stuff but they also had some like amazon returns and other things i'm not exactly sure where they came from and so they just have like big bins and on the first day which is uh friday they put the new stock in and so anything that's in the bins is fifteen dollars And then as the week goes on, it gets a little bit cheaper so that by Thursday, everything that's left in the bins is a dollar. Wow. And they have other stuff like around the area, like around the walls of the store that is marked super cheap also. And it has prices written on it. So Madeline had seen it on TikTok before and talked about wanting to go. Julie had been once before. And so she was like, do you want to go? The one is like about an hour from cedar point in the direction that we're traveling so it's like okay we'll just make a pit stop so it's only really two hours from us right so we um drove up there and we spent a couple hours at crazy bins and then there was a tj maxx close by and so we went to tj maxx because she doesn't love tj maxx and um you know felt all the new new fall blankets and smelled all the new fall candles and looked at all the cute halloween decorations that are out and then they also have a coffee shop that we don't have one around here it's called seven brew and it's like a drive-through um like there's nowhere to sit it's just a drive-through stand to get drinks and i guess there's one i think the closest one to us is out by like Punxsutawney because My girls have actually taken a road trip out there to try it. And so whenever you get your coffee, you can get up to six shots of different flavors or espressos or whatever into your drink. The one that Julie and Madeline tried was called a Blue Hawaiian, I think. Blue Lagoon. Sorry, Madeline's in the backseat. She's correcting me. Blue Lagoon. And it was like this blue fizzy pop. with um a little bit of an energy drink in it but you can get it without the energy drink and um some like creamer in it and it tasted it didn't taste bad it just tasted different and so it was a nice little like oh we don't have these around us and they got to try it and they were happy and then you want seven shots of something i don't know i don't know who's ordering the seven shots we did not we picked one of these like i said this is just a specialty drink that they has that we picked, but... Yeah, if you go on their menu and look, they have all different flavors. And I was impressed because of Ryan being a diabetic. I look at things to be sugar free. I was impressed with the amount.
- Speaker #3
My first thought was how much sugar is going to be in seven different syrups that you're dumping into your coffee.
- Speaker #2
Yes. So if you look at their list, they have like flavored syrups and then they have like the basic ones like mocha and stuff like that. And more than half of them, you had the option of. if you wanted sugar-free or not. So that was nice. Like you still had a lot of options. But anyway, it was just something on TikTok that they had seen that they needed to try. So we tried that. And then we went on to Sandusky and we went and had dinner because the boys still weren't up. So Matt and Ryan rode up together and then met us at the hotel whenever my brother got there. And the girls came up in their own separate car, like the older girls with one of their friends. And then the next morning we got up ridiculously early for me who loves to sleep in but we stayed on property as part of their hotel thing so you got to go in an hour early so we got to the park we could have gone in at nine i think we got there at like almost 9 30 but we went right to the new ride um the sirens curse thank you i keep calling it call sirens call for some reason science curse well that makes i mean they're both Um, in line with the myth so right exactly so you're not completely off and i'm thinking right and i'm not a huge um roller coaster person so everyone should be impressed with me that i rode that one like you should have seen ryan's face because he was like we'll just hop in line in here and they were totally waiting for me to be like i'll go sit on a bench over there and instead i was like all right let's go and he was like you're seriously gonna ride this and i was like yeah we're gonna like you told me you were in line i was like i thought she didn't do coasters yeah i i don't normally do coasters but i did that one and i there was another one that i had did that i had never done before and you did um madeline's got me rigaroo and then i did gatekeeper which i had done last year um still not a huge fan but at the same time you know you're there What are you going to do? So. Tons of yummy food, because that's one of the perks of the bands is that you get their meal plan and stuff. So we had Dippin' Dots for breakfast. That was probably my favorite thing. I ended my night with Dippin' Dots. So, I mean, when can I complain about any of that? And then today, sometimes we stay and do the park a second day, but I think I must have aged like 20 years in the last year because I was exhausted after yesterday. And so today we got up and we did... Kind of the same thing. The boys were in my car that I think I've mentioned is electric. So they needed to go charge. And Matt's girlfriend and I and Madeline went on to a different Crazy Bins and then looped back and met them for lunch. And they went to some computer store that's out that way that they had wanted to check out. And so everybody was happy. And then after lunch, we got back into our home vehicles and drove back home. So.
- Speaker #3
Very nice.
- Speaker #2
That was that. How was your weekend? I think I saw you somewhere.
- Speaker #3
Yeah. So I also joined your family at Cedar Point, but we didn't really like do anything together. Well, that's, JD was like, are we meeting up with them? Seriously, we need to go to Cedar Point. Just the four of us. Like, I think he really just wanted the four of us to go. We have to do Gettysburg too. I'm like, well, I'm like, they're, they're here with their family. I was like, cause we actually never talked about that. And, um, but it was nice. It was, um, it was a beautiful day. It was, but we didn't do the stay over thing. We just drove up in the morning.
- Speaker #4

- Speaker #3
I drove back last night and Friday night I had a childhood friend's wedding. Yes,
- Speaker #2
you looked so pretty. I saw your outfit. You looked really cute.
- Speaker #3
I was just excited because it was pants.
- Speaker #2
Well,
- Speaker #3
so Friday morning I listed a house because I got my photos early and I was dressed in joggers. I had just gotten out of the shower. I was wearing like an old, you know, just a grunge around the house t-shirt. And I have like a scrunchie that it dries your hair. So I'll just pull it up in that. And the seller is a friend. So there is that. And she lives five minutes away. I was like, okay, I'm running over and putting the lockbox on. Don't judge.
- Speaker #2
Right.
- Speaker #3
But you know what? I really do work like that a lot when I don't have to be going out, you know?
- Speaker #2
Right. I mean, why would you bother getting all ready if you're going to be sitting in your house for the day?
- Speaker #3
Exactly. So I did. I posted like a little behind the scenes thing. And then later on, I was like, oh, I should post like this. This isn't always me. And so I did wedding ready and it was a skirt jumper. It was a jumper that I got that it looks like a skirt, but then it's big flowy pants. I'm super comfy. I loved it.
- Speaker #2
Oh, good.
- Speaker #3
But I need another reason to wear it. So but then we my husband and I got home. Probably around like 9, 9.30. And then we left for Cedar Point around 6.30. We did not do the Sirens Curse just because of the 90 minutes.
- Speaker #2
Yeah, it was a very long wait.
- Speaker #3
But also, like my son and my aunt wanted to do it, but my daughter and husband didn't. And that's not why they didn't. We even told them, we're like, just go do it. Well, but it was Erica's first time there. And she's like, I would rather do all the things I can do. and come back because it's a new... it's a new ride it's going to be here next year it's going to be here down the line very true so so we did all of those um we did the gatekeeper because we last time we had been to cedar point was 13 years ago so gatekeeper wasn't there oh okay and that was fun that's the one that i got my um scream therapy out on and we just did like a whole bunch and also enjoyed some really good food got that barbecue place oh so good and it was just it was it was like a really nice way to end the summer so hopefully your brother's company does that again yes
- Speaker #2
yes i would assume i would assume that they would and obviously you would be invited but yeah it was kind of funny ryan said the same thing to me at one point um You guys walked past us towards like the later part of the evening and we already said hi, like because you would come to the lunch thing to say to say hi. So we had already said hi. And Matt was like, there's your friend. You're like not going to say anything to her. And I was like, what am I going to say? Like, hi. Like, I don't want to sit in here and talk to her. She's going to ride something. I want to go ride something. Trust me, we're going to talk a long time tomorrow. I don't need to stop her and see her point like she's with her family I'm glad she got to come and that that's that and the same thing with the kids grandma um from their dad's side came she came to the luncheon thing because that was like where pretty much all of my family met up to say hi because my nieces and nephews from Columbus came up too so like there was a lot of us but like everybody came to that central point to be like hi you know it's good to see you whatever but I mean that park is too big to try to do everything that everyone wants to do and then you would waste a ton of time running back and forth or whatever and so it was like yeah you go off with your family and have a great time and I'm going to go off with my people that you know it's switched up multiple times throughout the day and that's that we don't need to stand in line together right you know where we live All right.
- Speaker #3
So yeah, that's why Amanda and I are dead exhausted. I've taken two naps today.
- Speaker #2
That'll be me tomorrow sleeping all day, but I'm glad that it's not Madeline has big plans for target, but I'm going to need to sleep in before that. I'm glad that it's not just me though, because like I said before last year, it was so hot. And so I blame my exhaustion on it was so hot. And I'm going this year. I'm like, I know I'm out of shape, but am I really that out of shape? but hearing that people have... younger ages and better shape are also exhausted and hurting from head to toe and we go to amusement parks and we do stuff like this frequently so it's right more for our lifestyle
- Speaker #3
sure you know that we're typically go go go go go and no maybe maybe it's just because I did it too close to my New York trip.
- Speaker #2
Oh, that could be, too. And the fact that you drove up and drove back down in the same day, that is a lot.
- Speaker #3
Yeah. It wasn't when I was 17. No.
- Speaker #2
And did it for the first time. No.
- Speaker #3
Yeah.
- Speaker #2
But it was good. I'm glad that you guys came and that it was such a good weekend for everyone. So, yeah, it was a good, exhausting, but a good reality check.
- Speaker #3
